Volunteers:

Centro Legal welcomes volunteers to contact our office any time.  We frequently host law students for internships, and we welcome attorneys to also assist with pro bono opportunities.  Whether you are a lawyer or are interested in supporting our work with your time, please contact us to learn more.

Current volunteer opportunities:

Administrative Support:  Whether you are interested in the first-hand experience to learn what it takes to run or work at a nonprofit or if you are simply interested in volunteering to support the community, please consider spending your time at Centro Legal.  We have ongoing needs for administrative support for our legal team and our administration.  Duties would include drafting letters, filing, and special projects.

Law Student Internship:

Centro Legal hosts one law student each semester.  This role presents an exciting opportunity for a law student who is interested in gaining courtroom familiarity and working with a small, fast-paced firm.  This internship provides substantial exposure to family law in the nonprofit sector as well as some criminal misdemeanor defense experience.  The student will work under the supervision of an experienced attorney and will gain experience in drafting documents, researching legal issues, interviewing clients and handling cases in the courtroom.
